BIM Documents Auto-Drafting
Auto-drafts BIM delivery documentation from the model. Verifiable build delivered shortly after engagement.
Context
A Korean architecture and engineering practice that delivers BIM-compliant projects. Their team produces mandatory BIM delivery documentation alongside model submissions — a process that is repetitive, template-driven, and parallel to the modeling workflow.
The bottleneck
BIM delivery documentation — model quality reports, element checklists, submission cover sheets, and validation summaries — was drafted manually from model data. The process was repetitive but required accurate extraction of model statistics and compliance information.
What we built
A Revit add-in that reads model data and auto-drafts standard BIM delivery documents to the required submission format. Extracts element counts, type lists, LOD compliance status, and coordination summary from the model, and assembles pre-formatted documentation for review and submission.
Engagement
Outcome
Validated build delivered and confirmed by the project team. Reduces document drafting time from hours to minutes for standard submission packages.
